Dr. Ann E. Maloney

Ann Maloney M.D.Hello and welcome!

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). Then I went on to complete medical school at the University of Vermont College of Medicine (MD). After finishing my training, I went on to complete two fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and research.

Being Board Certified in both Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and in General Psychiatry, I am affiliated with and on faculty at UMass School of Medicine in the  Department of Psychiatry. I also have conducted multiple research projects on the creation and use of health apps and gaming technologies. I have been a longstanding member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), and I participate in advocacy for vulnerable, underserved patient populations.

Because there is now and will be a serious shortage of pediatric psychiatrists in the United States, I try to help with the pipeline and keep on teaching at Umass.  I am involved in postgraduate medical education, research, and also serve as a reviewer for scholarly journals.
